Member Notes | Welcome to Portfolios4u I was for over 30 years in the graphic arts trade which in involved some photography, I had to take a early retirement to look after my very sick wife and a few years ago I was taken ill and spent some time in hospital, this left me disabled so in order not to become a cabbage I started doing portfolio work firstly as paid shoot, all the models told me my work was so good I should do prints for time. When I had seen what some p.f.t. photographers did I thought I can do better than some of them so I started doing print for time myself. Even when I was at school I was very interested in photography. I am based in Abergele in lovely North Wales which is easy to get to by road and by train. If you come by train I would pick you up & take you back to the station after the shoot. It’s not unknown for me to put a model up overnight if they have to travel a long way. I will assist with any resemble travelling expenses.
I have full studio lighting (5flash heads) backdrops and props which include a number of fancy dress costumes which include medieval costume, Chinese costume, white angel dress, Red Indian costume, green elf costume, black cat costume, black bunny costume, white clown suit, cowgirl costume, Miss Robin Hood costume, red devil costume, pink homecoming Queen Dress, Hawaiian outfit, eve costume,sexy Indian squaw costume,Spanish Flamenco lady,Lady bug costume, Red sequin Miss Santa and a school teachers cap & gown. I also have guns, swards, fans , a acoustic guitar, wigs and around 40 hats plus the small items that add to the image.
I am told by models that my style is unique and very easy for beginners to model. I have a few tricks up my sleeve to make posing easier. I work from my own lounge which I transform in to a studio and new model find it not as daunting as a studio. Been only a few hundred yards from the beach it makes it ideal for swimwear/ holiday wear (weather permitting). So many photographers copy others so the images all look the same. I can supply you with prints and/or CDs which ever you require. If you want to take advantage of this offer or want more information just PM me. If you have never modelled before I will even train you how to pose and I have helped shy models to gain there confidence. I always try and make the model feel happy and at ease, I have a saying “a happy model is a good model” I think you will agree this makes good sense. Look forward to hearing from you.

Although I list myself as an amateur I was in the graphic arts trade for over 30 years which involved some photography. I’m manly looking for prints for time shoot but will undertake paid shoot providing the model will work up to artistic nude. I do have a number of costumes that models are welcome to model and these include items like a medieval costume ect, which seem to be popular with model along with my unique way in making prints that incorporate a real working clock, I’ve lost count of the numbers that are ticking away at the models home. I also have a unique way in making silhouettes, which I find often makes the model gasp in amazement.
I am one of the very few photographers that still use film and have no intention of changing. I feel there is nothing more rewarding than to see a image appear in a dish of developer, I have been doing it now for well over 50 years and still get a buzz out black and white print made the traditional was and I’ve yet to see a black and white image made digitally that will come up to one made in a darkroom
