Hi to all. I am looking at doing a calender shoot through 2010 to publish a calender in 2011. The theme will be fantasy wear i.e secretary, nurse etc. All proceeds from the sales of the calender will be going to Cancer Research (minus publishing costs). i am WILL NOT be making anything from this shoot.
I am doing this because my Mother passed away from Cancer over 10 years ago now at the young age of 50. So i thought it time to give something back. If anyone is interested please get in touch. Age is not an issue here.
Please note that althought the theme is fantasy wear that doesnt mean the pictures are going to be seedy. they wont be they will be done in good taste. Also if i get enough men interested i will do the same sort of thing for male models as well
Thanks for reading and i hope i get some interest

Hii,
I think this is a great idea as my mum had cancer a few years ago, so I feel strongly about any sort of voluntary work to make awareness!
Pm me with all the details if you would like to work with me =)

Hi
I am based locally,
Where will the calender be viewed?
Is it pay or TFP?
Also do we need to supply the item of clothing?
Keely :)

Hi Keely
The shoot would be TFP. All money is going to go to charity. Outfits wise if you have outfits then would be great but i am going to try and get a company to supply some in exchange for advertising space on the calender. The calenders will be printed. The amount is not finalised yet but enough to make a good amount of money. if you can pm me a contact email that would be great and i will give you more info

Hi there, I think this is a fantastic idea and if you're not already full to bursting I'd like to put my name forward - having had family members that have suffered from cancer I too would like to be part of something to help raise funds.
Hope to hear from you soon

Its about time i updated this post. I have some bad news. The response i got was outstanding and thank you to everyone who got in touch.
Now for the bad news.
I have been in touch with printers and outfit suppliers and i am having no luck. Also a location isnt easy to come by. I understand that some of you do have your own outfits but i cant rely on that alone. As for the printers...well i thought i might have got some help but i dont think ppl are willing to do anything for nothing.
So the blunt reply now is that the shoot wont be going ahead.
I do not have the funds to lay out before hand and this was about making money to go to charity.
If anyone would still like a shoot then please stay in contact
Again apologies

Oh that's a shame Roy. The idea was great. Unfortunately things like this do require a lot of goodwill of many people and it's disheartening when it seems people aren't interested. Don't chuck the idea in, there may be someone willing to help at some point.

Aaaw Roy - that's a real shame but I agree with Cavygirl - don't shelve the idea completely...one or two might not do it for free but there are other options. What about approaching local businesses and asking them to sponsor a month and in return they'll get premium advertising space on that month? And the money put forward could help cover printing costs and clothing hire? Just a thought...
