Hello,
         I've intermediate experience in wedding photography and looking forward to gain more experience. I've done couple of asian weddings which are quite extended sessions. I've no experience in english (christian) weddings and would like to do some wedding. Is there any wedding photographer who would give me chance  to be his/her assistant for a day? 
Or if someone can guide me to  how to get started??

I didn't mean to teach me how to do my job. I was just asking for little experience like an assistant not techniques but that's alright, may be it was stupid of me to ask that in this forum.Appologies!!

Harsh in your dreams Nige I have taught countless people my business and they have setup on their own within a few years of training  Networking  Sorry I don’t take fools kindly so no punches pulled here

There is a quid pro quo here!Adrian works for little or no money but gains experience. The principal photographer gets cheap labour.Isn’t that how apprenticeships work?Who knows; if the principal is lucky, Adrian might give them some tips on the protocol surrounding Asian weddings enabling them to compete against him.I’ve had the pleasure of attending an Asian wedding and I can tell you the ceremony and celebrations are quite different.

Definatley agree with the above....theres always something to learn, and none of us were born with the ability.

Jeez,he's only after a few tips to help him on his way in exchange for some free assistance!! Being somewhat of a novice myself i was hoping this website would be a good place to pick the brains of other togs and pick up a few tricks myself but there seems to be alot of defensive ones unwilling to share their knowledge.

I'v been a plasterer for over 20 yrs and along the way have trained up many a labourer that has gone on to become a plasterer.I've actually enjoyed passing on my knowledge and never felt threatened by their success - I'l always be the master hehe.

(Btw,if any model is interested in TFplastering pm me ;-) )


Incidentally,I do shoot weddings.And although I've only shot a dozen or so I'd be more than happy for you to come along on one You can see my images at peter gregory photography.
