As some of you may know, I complete my training within a couple of weeks to become a mentor for 8-18 year olds with social and behavioural problems (yes I know - a piece of cake compared to asking for portfolio critique, and probably fewer insults!!!) It's something I've felt I should be doing for sometime now and whilst I appreciate that it will be emotionally upsetting at times, I know it will also be challenging and rewarding.
I will, of course, continue with photography and believe that my new role may even provide me with fresh inspiration for both my imaging and poetry work. I hope to still have time to be an active contributor to this site as I've made a lot of friends and worked with some lovely people here.
Best wishes to everyone,
Rich x

I seen this post on the other site, I from reading the thread I have to say well done but even better to here that you will still be doing photography too. So I'm glad we are not losing a tog. You have total respect for taking on what I would see is a very hard but a rewarding job. I hope you enjoy working with the children that would need your help.

Thanks JJ - as I say, I hope it will be inspiring as I believe photography is one of those rare breeds which is 90% inspiration and 10% perspiration!
Rich.
